Mumbai to Konkan in Just 4 Hours: Fadnavis Government’s Big Move for Ganesh Festival Travel
The Maharashtra government has announced a major decision to ease travel during Ganeshotsav. Now, reaching Konkan from Mumbai will take just 4 to 4.5 hours by sea. This new water transport initiative, led by Fisheries and Ports Development Minister Nitesh Rane, aims to benefit the large number of Konkan natives living in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, and surrounding areas.
High-tech M2M (Motor to Motor) boats will operate from Mazgaon Dock (Bhaucha Dhakka) in Mumbai, connecting Malvan, Vijaydurg, and Ratnagiri. Travel time to Ratnagiri will be just 3 hours, while Malvan and Vijaydurg will take around four and a half hours.
